Lange Lis bike ride explores the open polder landscape between Nieuwpoort and Veurne: ‘Het Blote”. Historical farms lie scattered along the route. The route leads along “De Ijzer”, “het Hemmeleed”, “de Proostdijkvaart” and “het Langgeleed”. We cycle through the polder villages of “Ramskapelle”, “Booitshoeke” and “Frontzate”, the old railway line that played an important role during the Great War as a defense from the German advance into France.
